Important disclosures about QuantJourney’s status, product boundaries, investment technology, data, models, backtests and AI-assisted workflows.
1. Purpose of this disclosure
This disclosure explains the status, limits and intended use of QuantJourney websites, software, data-access tools, research material and product outputs. It should be read with the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy and with any product-specific or commercial agreement.
2. Technology provider - not a financial-services firm
QuantJourney is a provider of investment technology, software infrastructure, data-access tooling, quantitative research tools and workflow controls. It is not an investment adviser, broker-dealer, bank, commodity trading adviser, commodity pool operator, fund administrator, custodian, execution venue, transfer agent or fiduciary.
QuantJourney does not hold client assets, execute trades, provide official books and records, calculate an official NAV, act as counterparty or assume the regulatory responsibilities of a client or its appointed service providers.
3. No investment or professional advice
Nothing on a QuantJourney website or in a software output is investment, legal, tax, accounting, compliance, portfolio-management or execution advice. Nothing is an offer, solicitation, recommendation or endorsement to buy, sell, hold or enter any security, strategy, fund, instrument or transaction.
Users must make their own assessments and obtain independent professional advice where appropriate.
4. Research, backtests and performance information
Backtests, simulations, scenarios, optimisations, research examples and sample portfolios are hypothetical unless expressly identified otherwise. They may use assumptions, reconstructed data and simplified execution, cost, liquidity, corporate-action or market-impact treatment that differs from live conditions.
Hypothetical and historical results have inherent limitations. Past performance, simulated performance and historical relationships are not reliable indicators or guarantees of future results. No presentation of a strategy or output should be read as a performance claim for QuantJourney or a client.
5. Screenshots, examples and product statements
Product screenshots, workflows, Decision Packets, portfolio examples and sample outputs may use illustrative or synthetic data. Unless expressly stated and approved for public disclosure, they are not client records, case studies, implementation outcomes, audited results or evidence of a customer relationship.
References to a product capability describe its intended software function. Availability, supported sources, limits, deployment scope and commercial terms are determined by the applicable product documentation and signed agreement.
6. Data, models and calculation limitations
Outputs depend on data sources, mapping, timestamps, versions, assumptions, code, configurations and user inputs. Information may be delayed, incomplete, revised, stale, incorrectly mapped or unavailable. Models may be misspecified and may not capture all relevant risks.
Users are responsible for source selection, licences, reconciliation, validation, model governance, point-in-time controls and determining whether any output is suitable for its intended purpose.
7. Automation and AI agents
Automated tools and AI agents may retrieve information, investigate, summarise, prepare or propose. Their outputs may be incomplete or incorrect and require appropriate human review.
Material actions remain the responsibility of authorised users and the client organisation. Identity, permissions, deterministic tools, policy checks, approval and audit controls do not eliminate the need for professional judgement and operational oversight.
8. System boundaries and source authority
Connecting to a PMS, OMS, broker, custodian, administrator, accounting platform, research system or data provider does not make QuantJourney the authoritative system for functions assigned to that provider. Source authority and reconciliation responsibility must be defined by the client and its agreements.
OneBook is positioned as a decision and control record above the systems already running an investment operation. It does not, by that positioning alone, replace the official accounting ledger, execution venue, custodian, broker or administrator.
9. Third-party names, data and links
Third-party names, trademarks, products, data sources and links belong to their respective owners and are used for identification or context. Unless expressly stated, their inclusion does not imply sponsorship, endorsement, certification, integration approval or partnership.
Third-party data and services are governed by their own licences, terms, privacy notices and availability. QuantJourney does not control and is not responsible for third-party content or service changes.
10. Publishing and conflicts
QuantJourney may publish technical material about financial data, investment systems, quantitative methods and software. Opinions may change without notice and do not create a duty to update earlier material.
Where a material sponsorship, paid relationship or other conflict is relevant to published content, it should be disclosed with that content. General references to vendors or technologies do not by themselves establish a commercial relationship.
11. Forward-looking statements
Statements about planned features, future integrations, product direction or expected availability are forward-looking and subject to change. They are not delivery commitments unless included in a signed agreement.
12. Institutional responsibility
Clients and users remain responsible for investment decisions, fiduciary duties, regulatory obligations, market-data rights, compliance policies, model validation, approval authority, execution instructions, operational controls and records they are required to maintain.
No software control can remove the need for qualified personnel, independent verification and escalation procedures appropriate to the organisation and workflow.
13. Questions and corrections
To report a material error in a public statement or ask about this disclosure, contact [email protected] and identify the page, product or output concerned.
